This post is about what the title says. Blogsolute’s clone was made. Recently, when, I opened admin panel of my blog, there were numerous comments waiting for approval. I was bit surprised to see lots of trackbacks. When I examined it carefully- they were from the same URL ( http://myknow.wordpress.com )
Blog Online looked very similar or you can say xerox copy of Blogsolute with same post title, categories, tags, each and everything. It was a word to word copy, I was very tensed about it since it took me about 12 months to write and make those posts.
What Action did I take?
First of all, I warned him by commenting on his post. It was not possible for me to comment on each and every stuff. So, wherever I commented he added a backlinkbut in this case, whole blog was a copy. I left a question on various forums and groups for suggestions and one of my group mate Ameo suggested to report that blog as spam on after signing in on Wordpress.com
What happened to it then?
Yes, I have used a word was in post, so that blog is now inactive;you can check it.
Withing few seconds, I received a reply from Wordpress.com which is as follows-
I have suspended that blog for breaking several of our rules regarding duplicate content, advertising and affiliate links. For the record our DMCA information for copyright claims is here:

Kind regards,
Alex
Thanks, Ameo and Alex who helped in banning that blog. Copying is really bad so ,beware of it.
DMCA rules and regulations are critical in this day and age of online living and thieves who would take all you have… and more. People who steal content are everywhere and some even work for companies, the departments who sell web hostingdomain names - and those who would love to steal marketing technique as well your well designed basic web layout. The pay per click this, you jerks!

Great that your clone was deleted… congrats… I too have seen such manual scrappers who steal my content… you can even report to adsense and also to google about that….

I am sure its not the single blog that has been scraping content off your blog. Search for the first few lines of your posts on Google and you’ll see many scraper blogs. I get notified by the pingbacks to my blog about some scraper blogs where whole of my posts or a part of them is used in someone else’s name.
Getting the blog banned is only one way to prevent copyright violations. I read this post on Mohit Aneja’s blog which explains how to copyright and protect the content of your blog.
Hope it helps you
Regards.
