We do have tons of wallpapers on our hard disk but how often do you change them? It takes a long time digging through a long list and then changing the background wallpaper. For once or twice, it can be done but you leave it as it is after that. So, here’s an application for Windows which can change wallpaper of you desktop on regular intervals as specified.
One may argue that why there is need of writing this post when you know many of such softwares but they are not like most of them which always runs on system background even when you want to change it only once at system start-up.
Wallpaper Shifter : This will probably appeal to many users who are looking for a lightweight wallpaper changer. The application picks a random wallpaper from a directory selected by the user and sets it as the active Windows wallpaper. Once that has been done it closes down which means that it will not use any system resources from that point on.
It comes with a few options to change the scale mode (automatic, crop, fit, center) and the background (default, blur, edge repeat) but that’s it. If you are looking for a one time a session wallpaper changer then this might be exactly what you are looking for.

Caledos Wallpaper Manager : Its a 2Mb setup and takes care of your massive wallpaper collection. You can add multiple folders, set the frequency of change anywhere from every minute to every month and anything in between. If you have multiple users on your workstation, their unique settings will be preserved by login.
It displays the last 100 wallpapers as they were displayed on the monitor allowing you to quickly remove wallpapers that just weren’t up to snuff. Caledos is free(postcard)ware
